The main characters of Alien Stage, Ivan included, grew up together in an artificial environment where they were vocally trained, taught lyricality, etc. with the expectation that they would all later become contestants on an alien entertainment program known as Alien Stage. The premise of the show is your average singing competition, except the loser of each round is executed live on stage. Alien Stage is a multimedia canon presented primarily through animated music videos, artwork, and comics. Not necessarily because Till didn't turn back for Mizi, but because something prevented him from doing so (armed squad, dog aliens that would surely tear them to pieces so the only choice is to continue running) Their dynamic remains similar... or perhaps not as they train to take down ANAKT & ALNST with the rebellion. POST-ROUND 6/7, various shades of fix-it — The aliens preserve the consciousnesses of previous contestants by uploading them to a virtual reality server. It's designed to make them continue producing new music. The living can interact with them via special headsets. They can also perform for audiences as holograms, or even be brought out for surprise comebacks in the flesh if their data is combined with cloning technology. Unsha paid off the guards to shoot Ivan non-fatally if he lost in order to preserve his investment. He's still alive somewhere, hints of his presence turning up in "post-humous" song releases. Alternatively: extreme medical intervention or full-on revival using alien technology. REINCARNATION WITH MEMORIES — At least one character is plagued by recollections of their previous life in the ALNST canon universe. Insert any AU, any AU at all. Bonus points if it's one of the official ones. SOMNIA INFO OFFERING: SWARMLING INSPO: giant centipedes, endoparasitic worms, leeches PHYSICAL CHANGES ➢ Entirely covered in black chitinous plating from the neck downwards. Three sets of human-like arms on torso. The wrist of his original left arm retains the brand placed there by his segyein owner. "IVAN" in embossed silver lettering. A long, leech-like tongue tipped by four fangs surrounding a blood-sucking orifice. Below the waist his body becomes that of an enormous centipede, mostly black with hints of a deep blood-red on his undercarriage and toward the tips of his many, many legs. Able to "stand" at around six feet, with a total length of around twenty feet from the top of his head to the tip of his tail. A set of red-black, pincer-like mandibles curve outward from behind either side of his jawline. Blood contains hemocyanin, meaning he bleeds blue-black rather than red. He may look as though he has a cyanotic pallor when compared to a human. OFFERING ABILITIES ➢ Can quickly scale vertical, even inverted surfaces. When biting, he can choose to inject his venom, a fast-acting paralytic. In addition, his saliva has analgesic & anticoagulant properties. Able to sense vibrations as well as pick up on chemical trails left by himself or other creatures. Molts to repair damage to carapace. His plating is very soft for the first few hours afterward, leaving him at his most vulnerable during this period. Insects of all types are influenced by his presence. For example, they may gather near him, become agitated when he becomes agitated, or may move toward things he shows interest in. Immunity to disease, toxins, and other sources of taint. Hemolymph prevents body from freezing in cold weather. WEAKNESSES ➢ Highly photosensitive. Areas of bright light will make him feel exposed, potentially even disoriented. Prefers dark places. His limbs are fragile versus blunt force, but they can completely regrow over time. Shares an ambient telepathic connection with other arthropods. Prone to simple, nearly robotic thinking when his mind is particularly bombarded, and may be pushed to act on overheard directives. Becomes alerted to any insect that is killed in his vicinity, and may enter a frenzied state. Dry sources of heat can dehydrate his body very quickly. DESTABILIZED FORM - TBA; heightened emotions, blood moons, or certain effects during events may trigger additional changes temporarily, rendering it harder for Ivan to control himself. OTHER NOTES ➢ Ivan's veil is a piece of semi-translucent black fabric with six red markings reminiscent of the cerberus alien that guarded ANAKT. In the game's DREAM WORLD, Ivan appears in his human form wearing a white outfit. November 2025, received the Devourer's Grace ability in exchange for an offering to Sleep.
